Description	:	Mrs. George Eason, 88, of Alton, died Wednesday at the home of her daughter in West Des Moines following a brief illness. Services were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Van Gelder Funeral Home at Orange City. The Rev. Edmund W. Tratebas officiated. Burial was in Nassau Township Cemetery in Alton. Special music was a duet sung by Marian Mitchell and Sylva Kiernan. They were accompanied by Mrs. Karen Boeyink. Casket bearers were Harold Hammerstrom, Roger Roghair, Ernie Eason, Harvey Vander Pol, Wayne Eason & Norman Eason. Mrs. Eason, the former Mabel Sipma, was born September 26, 1892 at rural Alton. She was a lifelong area resident. She was married April 15, 1912 at Alton. Mr. Eason died in 1961. She was a member of the Alton Presbyterian Church. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Joe (Lois) Crook, of West Des Moines; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Taken from the Sioux County Capital newspaper December 15, 1980
