Description	:	CLAY CENTER-- Margie Steppe, 97, died Friday, April 26, 2013 at Medicalodge, Clay Center. Mrs. Steppe was born Jan. 23, 1916 at Clay County, the daughter of Ed and Millie (Arnold) Eckel. She grew up in the Wakefield community and attended country school and Wakefield High School. She married John "Jack"Steppe on Aug. 5, 1934. They farmed in the Wakefield area. Her husband preceded her in death on April 9, 1992. She was a member of the Priscilla Club.
