Description	:	CUMBERLAND — Mary Henrietta Weaver, 87, of Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. Born July 6, 1927, in Cumberland, Mrs. Weaver was the daughter of the late Harry Menough Dawson and Maude Virginia (Riley) Dawson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Duane Weaver, Aug. 31, 2001; three brothers, Homer, Lester, and Harry Dawson; seven sisters, Ruby Viney, Pearl Barnes, Eleanor Kerns, Madeline Hicks, Lydia Kauffman, Pauline Hansrote, and Carrie Dawson-Ward; and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Duane Weaver, Aug. 31, 2001; three brothers, Homer, Lester, and Harry Dawson; seven sisters, Ruby Viney, Pearl Barnes, Eleanor Kerns, Madeline Hicks, Lydia Kauffman, Pauline Hansrote, and Carrie Dawson-Ward; and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mary was a clerk at Safeway Grocery Store. She was a member of the Cresaptown United Methodist Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2883 Ladies Auxiliary. Mary is survived by her son, Duane Paul Weaver and wife, Robin, Oakland, and her daughter, Carol A. McKenzie and husband, Michael, Rawlings. She also leaves behind her four grandchildren, Ann Abe and husband, Fred, Mary Rothrock and husband, Bobby, Kenney McKenzie and wife, Michelle, and Michelle Duncan and husband, Tom; and her seven great-grandchildren, Freddie Abe, Skyler McKenzie, Chloe Duncan, Joel Duncan, Korbin McKenzie, Eli McKenzie, and Guinevere Duncan. Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Saturday, March 28, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Harold McClay and the Rev. Hal Atkins officiating. Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions are made in Mary’s name to the Cresaptown United Methodist Church, Post Office Box 5206, Cresaptown, MD 21505. Friendship is a priceless gift that cannot be bought nor sold but its value is far greater than a mountain made of gold.
