Description	:	BROWNVILLE JCT. - Pearl M. Hamlin, 108, wife of the late Oscar L. Hamlin, died Jan. 22, 2006, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. She was born Feb. 14, 1897, in Willimantic, the daughter of George W. and Julia (Fry) Morrill. A graduate of Milo High School, Class of 1916, she was a part-time school teacher in the area for several years. Pearl was a charter member of the Milo Garden Club, a member of the New Idea Club, Echo Chapter No. 39 OES, Three River Senior Citizens, Katahdin Senior Citizens, and was the longest living member of the American Baptist... She was born Feb. 14, 1897, in Willimantic, the daughter of George W. and Julia (Fry) Morrill. A graduate of Milo High School, Class of 1916, she was a part-time school teacher in the area for several years. Pearl was a charter member of the Milo Garden Club, a member of the New Idea Club, Echo Chapter No. 39 OES, Three River Senior Citizens, Katahdin Senior Citizens, and was the longest living member of the American Baptist Church (now the United Baptist Church). She had attended the Brownville Community Church, where she was a member of the Church Circle. Pearl was predeceased by a son, George and his wife, Frances. She is survived by two sons, Carl Hamlin and his wife, Althea, of Milo, Robert Hamlin and his wife, Nell, of Brownville; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Cynthia and Richard Moore, Steven and Cheryl Hamlin, Carla and Ernest Harmon, Julie and Philip Andrews, Neil and Barbara Hamlin, Georgia and Wally Skilling, Janice and George Barton, and Brian and Jeanne Hamlin; 17 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by a special niece, Betty (Decker) Gould. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 23, at the Lary Funeral Home, Milo. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the United Baptist Church of Milo, with the Rev. Ernest Madden and the Rev. Darren Morgan, officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery.
