Born in North Brookfield, she was a daughter of the late Henry E. and Josephine (Wile) Silver. She entered the Sisters of Charity in Halifax in 1925 and made her religious profession in 1928. She taught school for over 40 years in Massachusetts, Vancouver, and then Nova Scotia. Sister Marilla Silver (Muriel Mary), 92, Mount Saint Vincent Motherhouse, Halifax, died May 21, 1995, in Mother Berchmans Centre. Born in North Brookfield, she was a daughter of the late Henry E. and Josephine (Wile) Silver. She entered the Sisters of Charity in Halifax in 1925 and made her religious profession in 1928. Visitation 3-8 p.m. today in Mount St. Vincent Motherhouse. Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m. Wednesday in Mount St. Vincent Motherhouse Chapel, Msgr. J. Nil Theriault officiating. Burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mother Berchmans Centre Limited. With thanks to Rosemay Rafuse.
