Description	:	Murrel "Ted" Falconer, 87, of West Point, died Wednesday at the Ambassador Nursing Home in Omaha. He had resided at the nursing the past six years. Mr. Falconer was born in Fremont. He grew up in Fremont and was one of the first meat department managers for the Safeway Stores. He managed the Fremont Safeway Store in the 1930s and later was a meat department and store manager for a Norfolk Safeway Store. Read More	Murrel "Ted" Falconer, 87, of West Point, died Wednesday at the Ambassador Nursing Home in Omaha. He had resided at the nursing the past six years. Mr. Falconer was born in Fremont. He grew up in Fremont and was one of the first meat department managers for the Safeway Stores. He managed the Fremont Safeway Store in the 1930s and later was a meat department and store manager for a Norfolk Safeway Store. In the 1950s and 1960s Mr. Falconer owned and operated his own liquor store in West Point. He married Myrle Tomrdle in 1930. She preceded him in death. Survivors include one sister. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Emma (Moore) Falconer, one son, Jerry Falconer, and three brothers, Paul, James and Milo Falconer. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont. The Rev. Carol Roetmer Brewer of First United Methodist Church will officiate. There will be no visitation. Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
