Description	:	Myra Dale Jackson, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jackson, was born on a farm near Angus, Neb., January 22, 1915. The first 22 years of her life were spent in this community. She attended the Angus school and entered Edgar high school, but was unable to complete her course because of poor health. Myra was always active in the Sunday school of the United Brethren church and attended regularly. She enjoyed taking part in church and school entertainments. Read More	Myra Dale Jackson, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jackson, was born on a farm near Angus, Neb., January 22, 1915. The first 22 years of her life were spent in this community. She attended the Angus school and entered Edgar high school, but was unable to complete her course because of poor health. Myra was always active in the Sunday school of the United Brethren church and attended regularly. She enjoyed taking part in church and school entertainments. She received much pleasure from the daily Bible stories over the radio. Even while she was in the hospital she regretted that she did not have her radio to continue these stories. She was united in marriage to Leslie Avers of Edgar, March 5, 1937. The first two years of her married life were spent in Burlington, Washington and the remaining time on a farm near Neola, Iowa. These were very happy years. She had a cheerful disposition, very considerate of others and never complained. She was very devoted to her parents and was a constant companion to her mother. She departed this life at Iowa City, Iowa, November 22, 1941, at the age of 26 years and 10 months. She was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, father and mother; three brothers, Durward of Edgar, Nebr., Genn (sic) of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Robert of Oak, Nebr.; three nephews, two nieces, other relatives and a host of friends. Fold her, O Father! in Thine arms And let her henceforth be A messenger of love between Our human hearts and Thee. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 25, 1941, at the U.B. church in Angus, with the Revs. Ivan Kilpatrick and J.E. Tracy in charge. A quartette: J. Robt. Olseen, J.G. Walley, Mrs. Charles C. Clark and Miss Ruth Hurst, accompanied by Mrs. Lydia Phelps at the piano, sang Beautiful Isle of Somewhere, In the Garden, and Sweet Hour of Prayer. The pallbearers were Kenneth Grossman, Wallace Grossman, Robert Peters, Merton McCartney, Marvin Elifritz and Lyle Kinnison. Flower girls were Beulah McCartney and Elsie Shafer. Interment was made in Nelson cemetery (sic).
