Description	:	Myra Lee Love, 91, passed away early Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Marion Assisted Living. She was born February 14, 1922 in Neosho Rapids, Kansas the daughter of James Ferdinand and Julia Garland Andrews Irwin. Myra Lee graduated with the Neosho Rapids High School Class of 1940. She spent the next year with her aunt and uncle in New York City before returning to attend classes at Emporia State Teachers' College. Read More	Myra Lee Love, 91, passed away early Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Marion Assisted Living. She was born February 14, 1922 in Neosho Rapids, Kansas the daughter of James Ferdinand and Julia Garland Andrews Irwin. Myra Lee graduated with the Neosho Rapids High School Class of 1940. She spent the next year with her aunt and uncle in New York City before returning to attend classes at Emporia State Teachers' College. Myra Lee was joined in marriage to Roy Levern Love on October 18, 1942 in Emporia, Kansas. They lived briefly in Wichita until Levern was called to serve in the U.S. Navy. They lived in Charleston, South Carolina until Levern was deployed overseas. Myra Lee returned to Emporia and entered the Cadet Nursing Program at Newman Hospital. When Levern's ship was called back to duty at Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Myra Lee joined him there and worked at the local hospital for a year. They moved back to Lebo in 1947, raised their five children in the area, eventually buying Levern's home place in the country, where they have lived for over 40 years. Myra Lee was a member of the Lebo United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Ethel Circle. They later purchased a small home in Hillsboro to spend the winter months near their daughter Jane King and Niece Lindy Weins. She is survived by her loving husband Levern of the home; two daughters, Jane Elizabeth King and husband Larry of Marion and Nancy Jean Croucher of Overland Park; three sons, John Scott Love and wife Leanna of Lebo, Michael Levern Love and wife Vicki of Neosho Rapids and Andrew Kayle Love and wife Brenda of Neosho Rapids; two sisters, Jeanne Fleming of Miami, Oklahoma, and Carolyn Perry of Lebo; two brothers, Jack Irwin of Greencastle, Pa., and Scott Irwin of Emporia; ten grandchildren; twenty six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Dean; a brother, James Mac Irwin and a sister, Betty Nave. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm., Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Lebo United Methodist Church. Burial will follow services at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Neosho Rapids. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm., Tuesday evening at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lebo United Methodist Church or to the American Diabetes Association and sent in care of the funeral home.
