Description	:	Myra Sue Custer, 76, Greentown was welcomed into eternity by her Heavenly Father on Tuesday January 31, 2017 at 9:05 a.m. She was at home on hospice surrounded by her husband and daughters. She was born March 8, 1940 in Peru, Indiana to Albert and Pearl (Strebin) Hensler. She married Max Custer on February 14, 1960, and he survives. She graduated from Eastern High School in 1958. She worked at State Bank of Greentown for 25 years. She also worked for Dr. William Begeman, DDS for 16 years and retired in 2004. She was a loving wife and devoted mother, grandmother... She was born March 8, 1940 in Peru, Indiana to Albert and Pearl (Strebin) Hensler. She married Max Custer on February 14, 1960, and he survives. She graduated from Eastern High School in 1958. She worked at State Bank of Greentown for 25 years. She also worked for Dr. William Begeman, DDS for 16 years and retired in 2004. She was a loving wife and devoted mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was an excellent example to her children, always enjoying time shared with family. She devoted time and attention to her 5 grandchildren, instilling godly values that she passed on. She enjoyed spending time at the lake with family and in Florida with her husband and friends. She had a love for gospel music and enjoyed attending the Quartet Convention in Gatlinburg, TN. She was in 2 Euchre Clubs and was a one-of-a-kind cake baker. She sang with a group called the “Midi Blenders” for several years. She was also active in the Greentown Glass Festival and worked on the election board. She was a member of the Greentown Research Club and a past 4-H member. She was very involved as a member of Jerome Christian Church and served on several committees there. In addition to her husband of 56 years, Max, she is survived by her daughters, Marla (David) Dickerson, Carmel and Mona Horner, Fishers. Her precious grandchildren, Kayla Marko- South Carolina, Keegan (Kristin) Horner- Noblesville, Kinsey Horner-Wabash, Jared Dickerson-Ohio, Rachel Dickerson-Carmel, Sister-in –law, Carol Sue Hensler-Greentown, Brother-in-law, J. Arnold (Nancy) Custer-Greentown, several nieces and nephews, Ronda Smith-Marion, Andrea (David) Eikenberry-Greentown, Gregg (Cathy) Hensler-Greentown, Tonya (Joe) Wittig-Brownsburg, Jim (Lisa) Custer-Greentown, Stacy (Louis) Snyder-Greentown. She was preceded in death by her parents- Albert and Pearl Hensler, brother-Max Hensler, nephew-Mark Custer, father and mother-in-law, Jessie and Dorothy Custer. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Jerome Christian Church 9535 E 100 S Greentown. A celebration of Myra Sue's life will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with an hour of visitation prior to the service also at Jerome Christian Church 9535 E 100 S Greentown with Pastor David Stokes officiating. Burial will follow the service in Mast – Hensler Cemetery. Hasler & Stout Funeral Home 112 E. Main Street assisted the family with arrangements
