Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Wolbach. The Rev. Martin Leeper will officiate. Inurnment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Wolbach. Myrna was born July 19, 1950, in Genoa to Melvin and Estella (Sanford) Rasmussen. She was raised in Belgrade, where she attended school through the 11th grade. She attended Cedar Rapids High School for her senior year and graduated in 1968. She was united in marriage to Mearle Greek on Dec. 1, 1968, at Peace Lutheran Church in Belgrade. The couple lived in Schuyler. Myrna attended beauty school in Columbus and was a beautician in Schuyler. She also worked for Excel Packing. Myrna and Mearle moved to Wolbach in 1994. They bought and operated the Watering Hole in Wolbach until 2009. For the past six years, she was employed as a dietary cook at Howard County Medical Center in St. Paul. Myrna enjoyed doing yardwork and housework. She loved to be with her family and socialize with friends. Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Larry and Yvonne Greek and Tyler Greek, all of Wolbach, and Chase and Jordan Greek of Grand Island; one daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Todd Ballentine of North Platte; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Irene Rasmussen of Fort Collins, Colo.; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Fran Gillentine of Monroe, Tenn., Joyce Rasmussen of Kentucky, Cathy and Larry Krings of Albion and Brenda Faber of Omaha. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mearle, on Oct. 31, 2009; and one sister, Wilma Loughman.
