He was preceded in death by his parents, Ida and Jay Parsons, his brother Lee Parsons, his step-brother, Bill Parsons, and a step-sister, Stella and his first granddaughter, Mary Jo Hutcheson. Myron leaves behind his loving wife, Elsie, whom he married in 1936; his adoring daughter, Julia, and son in law, Gary Hutcheson and three grandchildren, Ann, Angela and Mark of Oskaloosa, his sister and husband, Mary and Burnham Wilson of Waukee, their daughter, Patricia Sollock and her husband Bill and three children of Orange, Tex, his sister in law Alta Parsons from Bedford, half sister Grace Fitzsimmons, Jefferson City, Mo, her son and wife Dale and Katherine Fitzsimmons of Jefferson City, Mo, his nephew and wife Merle and Maye Parsons and their sons Dick and his wife Carolyn and two children, Don and his wife, Sue and two children, Besides cousins and great nieces and nephews; and four sister-in-law, 2 brothers in law and four nephews and three nieces on Elsie's side of the family. Myron attended grade school and high school at New Market. Myron spent time in the First World War. He attended business college in Quincy, Ill. He was a member of the Masons since March 1926. Myron and his family spent one year in Kansas City, Mo, during World War II where he was an instructor in Pratt and Whitney Airplane Corp school. He operated service stations in New Market for a number of years one of which was the Phillips 66 which he operated from the time it was built until 1954. He worked 14 hours a day 7 days a week most of the time, never complaining. For several years Elsie would relieve him for meals as well as at other times. Myron worked from 1954 to 1970 as an attendant at Mental Health in Clarinda, where he was always kind and very interested in his patients. Myron and Elsie had 39 years of married love and devotion for one another. He was a most patient, kind, wise and gentle and loving father and grandfather.
