PAWNEE REPUBLICAN (Pawnee City, Nebraska)-Thursday, October 19, 1967-Page 5. MRS. ROBERT McVITTY Myrta Mae McVitty was born to Jesse H. and Altie M. Seip, July 21, 1907 at Summerfield, Kansas, and departed this life October 12, 1967 at the Pawnee County hospital. At an early age she moved with her family to a farm in Pawnee County where she received her education. She professed her faith in her Savior when a young woman and united with the Methodist Church in Pawnee City where she was a faithful member and regular attendant until her death. On March 4, 1931 who was united in marriage to Robert T. McVitty at Fairbury, Nebraska. To this union was born one daughter, Carolyn Roberta. She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Bob and their daughter, Carolyn Panec and son-in-law, William J. Panec of Fairbury.; five brothers and two sisters: Howard, Whittier, Calif.; Fay, Scottsbluff, Nebr., Arthur, Beatrice, Nebr.; Charlie, Wilder, Ida.; Harold Glendale, Calif.; Ines Preston, Pawnee City, Nebr.; and Luella Tiller, Summerfield, Kans., and many nieces and nephews. She was a faithful wife and loving mother. Although she had been in failing health the past several years, she was an industrious homemaker and enjoyed gardening, her flowers, and her club activities. She was always ready to lend a helping hand whenever and wherever she could. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and relatives. Memorial Services were ehld for Mrs. McVitty, Sunday, Oct. 15 in the Methodist Church, Pawnee City with the Rev. R. H. Lingard, officiating. Mrs. R. H. Lingard and Mrs. Byford Metzger,accompanied by Mrs. Roland Finkner, sang: "Still, Still With Thee" and "How Great Thou Art." Pallbearers were: Henry Schultz, Emil Mach, Wayne North, Glenn Binder, Roland Finkner, and Albert Christiansen.
