Read More	WOMAN MURDERED IS VERDICT ------------------- Castle Rock Man Shoots Self After Inflicting Death Wounds on Mate Mrs. James Cross met death at the hands of Clarence Best, according to authorities, the result of a quarrel in which there was evidence of violence. A gunshot through the mouth was the actual cause, after which Best shot himself, not fatally however. The couple left McCook some time ago and were employed on a farm nine miles from Castle Rock, Colo., at the time of the fatal shooting. Myrtle Amanda, daughter of Elizabeth and Greenberry Crapson, was born at Queen City, Mo., December 9, 1897, and died at Castle Rock, Colo., June 3, 1935, age 37 years, 5 months and 24 days. To the union of James Cross, to whom she was married, were born six children, two girls and four boys, all living. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, James Cross, six children, her father, G. B. Crapson of Wauneta, Nebr., one sister, Mrs. Martha Herbert of McCook, Nebr., three brothers, Jonas of Laramie, Wyoming., Roy and Harvey of Wauneta, Nebr., and many friends. The funeral service was held from the Methodist church in Wauneta, Monday afternoon, June 10 with the pastor, Rev. Ernest Gaither in charge. Music was furnished by Mrs. E. W. Cox and Mrs. D. C. Harvey with Mrs. Velma Peterson at the piano. Interment was made in the Riverside cemetery. C. E. Johnston was the mortician.
