Barnes -------------------------------------------------- MRS. F. A. CUSHMAN died at her home in Coon township Tuesday, Oct 25, 1898, of consumption. The deceased has been ailing for some time, and shortly after her marriage to Mr. Cushman she went to Colorado for her health, but the dread disease had such a hold on her that it was impossible to throw it off. She leaves a husband and three small children to mourn her loss. Mrs. Cushman was a young woman of about 29 years of age, but she has seen a great many trials in her short life. She lost her first husband a few years ago and was left alone with three small children to care for. She was always very highly spoken of by her neighbors as being a kind Christian lady, and her appearance in public was that of a good and brave little woman, with whom it was a pleasure to be acquainted. Her marriage to Mr. Cushman took place the past summer, and we understand that their relations have been very cordial. Funeral services were held at the home Thursday forenoon at 10 o'clock, Rev. J . A. Lory officiating, the interment taking place in the Newell cemetery. The many friends of the family unite in heartfelt sympathy for the bereaved husband and children.
