Description	:	Myrtle Fern Meadows (Seaver), 84, passed away July 23rd, 2007 in St. Josephs Long Term Care in Chewelah, Washington. She was the daughter of Ralph and Lorene Silver (Albright) Seaver. She moved with her family to Kellogg, ID at a very young age. She attended and graduated Kellogg High School in 1938. After graduation, she went directly to St. Lukes School of Nursing in Spokane, Washington where she got her degree at a RN. December 1st, 1944, she married Roy H. Meadows. Read More	Myrtle Fern Meadows (Seaver), 84, passed away July 23rd, 2007 in St. Josephs Long Term Care in Chewelah, Washington. She was the daughter of Ralph and Lorene Silver (Albright) Seaver. She moved with her family to Kellogg, ID at a very young age. She attended and graduated Kellogg High School in 1938. After graduation, she went directly to St. Lukes School of Nursing in Spokane, Washington where she got her degree at a RN. December 1st, 1944, she married Roy H. Meadows. They resided in Kellogg before moving to Chewelah, Washington in 1947. She started working at St. Josephs Hospital and retired in 1991. Together, Roy and Myrtle had 4 children: Richard, David (my dad), Ronald and Barbara. She was active in the Rebekah Lodge, St. Josephs Hospital Aux, American Legion Aux and the United Church of Christ in Chewelah, Washington. Her favorite things to do was playing five and six handed pinochle, quilting and crossword puzzles. She also loved going to yard sales. She did all her favorite things until she had to have heart surgery in Spokane, Washington. After resting there for several days, they went and placed her in the long term care until in St. Josephs Hospital, where she remained until her death in the wee hours of July 23, 2007. Her son Richard her husbands niece Bertha were there when Myrtle passed away. Her husband Roy passed away December 28th, 1999. She is survived her 4 children: Richard and wife Linda, David and wife Susan, Ronald and wife Debbie, and daughter Barbara Gates and her husband Duane. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Dorothy Clementon and her husband Arden She was also survived by her 4 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren (The 11th great-grandchild was born in 2009, the 12th in 2011). Her funeral service was July 26th and was buried at the Chewelah Memorial Park next to her husband Roy. She will be greatly missed. Edited to add: Her son Ronald passed away from cancer in 2011. I remember my grandmother in many special ways. 1)She had a cellar in her garage and it always smelled like apples. I loved to go in there just to smell the apple scents. 2)We celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas at her house up until she was put in the hospital. Her house was small as my grandpa built it for her. When the family got large, we still celebrated Christmas there, but moved Thanksgiving dinner to the Rebecka Hall. 3)She remembered every anniversary and birthday. She always sent a card to each and single one that she loved. 4)She was a nurse. I want to thank Pat R for the updated photo of the gravestone. I apperciate it!!!
