Description	:	Roy Meadows was born March 21st, 1917 in Oroville, Washington. Sometimes the first day of Springs fall on the day of his birth, sometimes the day before. December 1st, 1944, he married Myrtle Fern Seaver. They resided in Kellogg before moving to Chewelah, Washington in 1947. He built their home in Chewelah that his wife, children and him lived in. Together, Roy and Myrtle had 4 children: Richard, David (my dad), Ronald and Barbara. As he got near the end of his life, he got alhimzers disease and couldn't remember very much. He knew who his wife, and sometimes his children.... Read More	Roy Meadows was born March 21st, 1917 in Oroville, Washington. Sometimes the first day of Springs fall on the day of his birth, sometimes the day before. December 1st, 1944, he married Myrtle Fern Seaver. They resided in Kellogg before moving to Chewelah, Washington in 1947. He built their home in Chewelah that his wife, children and him lived in. Together, Roy and Myrtle had 4 children: Richard, David (my dad), Ronald and Barbara. As he got near the end of his life, he got alhimzers disease and couldn't remember very much. He knew who his wife, and sometimes his children. He couldn't remember the names of his grandchildren on the otherhand. He got to the point where my grandmother could not care for him anymore, so he lived in a nursing home until the very end of his life, where he passed away in the wee hours of December 28th, 1999. He had almost made it to the year 2000, which was his goal. He is survived her 4 children: Richard and wife Linda, David and wife Susan, Ronald and wife Debbie,and daughter Barbara Gates and her husband Duane. He is also survived by his sister Dorothy Clementon and her husband Arden, Walla Walla. At the time of his death, he was survived by his 4 grandchildren and and 3 great-grandchildren (4 were born after his death) He was buried December 30th in Chewelah Memorial Park. He recieved a 21 gun salute for being in the military and his wife recieved a flag. He will be greatly missed. **Since his death, his wife Myrtle, son Ronald and sister Dorothy has passed away.
