Description	:	Myrtle Icy Snider, eldest daughter of Elmer and Rose Roberts Stroud, was born September 27, 1891 in Wayne County, Iowa and departed this life at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Centerville at the age of 83 years, 5 months, and 22 days. She was a resident of Wayne County her entire life except the last nine years where she lived at the Golden age Manor in Centerville. She was a resident of Wayne County her entire life except the last nine years where she lived at the Golden age Manor in Centerville. She was united in marriage to Samuel Tison Snider on January 12, 1921 who preceded her in death on March 10, 1956. To this union six sons were born. As a young girl she joined the Christian Church. She was a member of the Family Club, Painting Club, and attended the Ladies Aid of the Christian Church as long as her health permitted. Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, an infant son Bobbie, one granddaughter Martha Snider, one sister Opal Jump and one brother Holly Stroud. Survivors are her sons and daughters-in-laws Milo E. and Helen, Miles A. and Alberta, Billie and Marilyn of Seymour, Harold and Donna of Murray and Bennie and Marilyn of Webster City; Ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters Mrs. Maggie Brown of Seymour, Mrs. Myna Graham of Neosha, Kansas and Mrs. Eupha Murray of Corydon; two brothers Jasper Stroud of Seymour, andLouis Stroud of Allerton; nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Seymour Christian Church with Rev. James I-arson officiating. Milton Albertson sang "In The Garden" and "Good Night Here and Good Morning Up There" accompanied by Mrs. Nina Smith. Pallbearers were grandsons: Arthur, Craig, Ron, David, Howard and Tim Snider.
