Description	:	Myrtle Lorene Gropp, the daughter of Otto and Nancy Gropp, was born March 10, 1911 at Kendall, KS and passed away January 10, 1961 at Tribune, KS, age 49 years and 10 months. She graduated from the Lakin high school in the class of 1932 and was a telephone operator here for seven years. On December 4, 1937 she was united in marriage to Fred Patton of Goodland where they resided until 1942. In that year they moved to Phillipsburg, where their son, Carl, was born. Read More	Myrtle Lorene Gropp, the daughter of Otto and Nancy Gropp, was born March 10, 1911 at Kendall, KS and passed away January 10, 1961 at Tribune, KS, age 49 years and 10 months. She graduated from the Lakin high school in the class of 1932 and was a telephone operator here for seven years. On December 4, 1937 she was united in marriage to Fred Patton of Goodland where they resided until 1942. In that year they moved to Phillipsburg, where their son, Carl, was born. They moved to Scott City in 1943, where two other children, Nina and Clyde, were born. In 1957 they moved to Tribune where they resided until her death. In December 1948 she took the Lord Jesus as her Saviour and has been a faithful Christian since that time. She was active in the work of the Pilgrim Holiness Church until coming to Tribune in 1957 after which she was active in the Assembly of God Church. She leaves to mourn her passing: her husband, Fred; two sons, Carl and Clyde and one daughter, Nina. In addition she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Nancy Gropp of Lakin; five brothers: Clyde of Scott City, Enos of Kendal, Fred of Syracuse, Samuel of Lakin and Donald of Holly, Colo; and three sisters: Mrs. Pauline Coghill of Montrose, Colo, Mrs. Roberta Kirby of Syracuse, and Mrs. Helen Miller of Salinas, Calif. In addition she leaves a host of other relatives and friends. She was a faithful wife and loving mother, and will be missed by all who knew her. She was a living example of a life consecrated to the Lord, whom she loved and served.
