Description	:	Myrtle Marie Waidelich, 82, of Waverly, Iowa died on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly. Myrtle was born on September 26, 1928, in Bremer County, Iowa, the daughter of John and Eldora (Hagenow) Richmann. She was baptized on October 14, 1928 and confirmed in the spring of 1942 both at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Klinger. Myrtle graduated from Readlyn High School in 1948. Read More	Myrtle Marie Waidelich, 82, of Waverly, Iowa died on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly. Myrtle was born on September 26, 1928, in Bremer County, Iowa, the daughter of John and Eldora (Hagenow) Richmann. She was baptized on October 14, 1928 and confirmed in the spring of 1942 both at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Klinger. Myrtle graduated from Readlyn High School in 1948. Following high school she worked at Concordia College in River Hills, Illinois and later worked for Lutheran Mutual in Waverly. She was united in marriage to Henry M. Waidelich on May 23, 1959 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Klinger. The couple made their home on the family farm near Shell Rock, where they farmed until retiring in 1994 following 50 years of farming. Hank and Myrtle then moved to Waverly and lived until Myrtle became a resident of Bartels in 2005. Hank died on April 19, 2010. Myrtle was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Shell Rock. She enjoyed gardening, watching the Cubs and Hawkeyes, word search and jigsaw puzzles. Myrtle is survived by her son, Dan (Joleen) Waidelich of Norwalk, Iowa; two daughters, Janet Waidelich of Waverly, Iowa; and Mary (Brian) Qualley of Iowa Falls, Iowa; 3 grandchildren, Brandon, Sara and Megan Qualley; three sisters-in-law, Kathryan Knops of Richfield, Minnesota; Dorothy Stoddard of Waverly, Iowa, and Marlys Richmann of Denver, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eldora Richmann, her husband, Henry Waidelich, three brothers, Norman, Kenneth and Arlin Richmann and a sister in infancy. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church in Shell Rock with Pastor Kim Smith officiating. Burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Shell Rock. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community.
