Services have been tentatively set for Saturday from the Gering Christian church with the Rev. Kenneth Beckman officiating. Burial will be made in West Lawn cemetery at Gering. Mrs. Butler was born Aug. 17, 1885, in Buffalo county, Nebraska, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Scott. She came to Gering with her parents in 1886 or 1887. She lived at Gering until 1943 when she moved to California. On Feb. 12, 1902, she was married to Roy W. Pattison. To this union were born six children, all of whom survive. Mr. Pattison died after being struck by lightning in May of 1914. She was again married to Joe Butler of Gering, Feb. 22, 1915. One daughter was born to this union. Mrs. Butler was a member of the Christian church and the Ladies Pioneer Birthday club. In addition to her children she raised a nephew, Jimmy Connor of Silverado. Her parents, a sister, Mrs. Blanche Connor of Gibbon, and a brother, Rollie Scott of Mitchell, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Mattie Dughman of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Iris Finkenbinder of Billings, Mont., Mrs. Genevieve Richardson of Santa Ana, Calif., and Floy Butler of Pasadena, Calif.; three sons, John Pattison of Gering, Frank "Bill" Pattison of Long Beach, Calif., and Myron "Sam" Pattison of Silverado. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Dessa Searles of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Mary Fanning of Mitchell; her twin brother, Bert Scott of National City, Calif., 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.### Scottsbluff Star-Herald, April 23, 1947
