Pattison, who was instantly killed by lightning last Friday afternoon at his home in Gering valley. He was driving in from the field when the bolt struck him, knocking the horses down and stunning them. Roy was born in Missouri and lacked one week of being 41 years of age. In company with his parents he came to Scotts Bluff county about twenty years ago, and since then had developed into a first class business man, acquiring considerable property. On February 12, 1902, he married Miss Myrtle Scott and to them six children were born, all of whom are living. Roy Pattison was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Pattison.
