Jones was born December 25, 1839 near Crawfordsville, Ind. and died at Douglas, Neb, April 24, 1912, aged 72 years, 3 months and 29 days. She grew to womanhood in Indiana and was married in 1861 to William McDonald. Two daughters born to this union passed away a number of years ago. The husband having departed this life, the widow removed to Henry County, Missouri, where she was married October 30, 1870 to James A. Long. To this union three sons... Jones was born December 25, 1839 near Crawfordsville, Ind. and died at Douglas, Neb, April 24, 1912, aged 72 years, 3 months and 29 days. She grew to womanhood in Indiana and was married in 1861 to William McDonald. Two daughters born to this union passed away a number of years ago. One son died in infancy. The other children, 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren with the husband and father remain to mourn her departure. The family came to Otoe county in 1876, residing near Syracuse for 6 years, then on the farm 3 miles east of Douglas.
