The following obituary was included in the services. Nancy Alice Roberts, daughter of William [Reuben] and Deborah [Ann Williams] Sparks, was born Sept. 24, 1880 in Nodaway Co., Mo. While a child the family moved to a farm five miles east of New Market, Iowa where she grew to womanhood. Early in life she became a member of the Baptist Church. On August 18, 1900, she was united in marriage to Linton Henry Roberts. To this union six children were born: Elmer N., Bedford, Linton Harry of New Market, Mrs. Al (Vera) Meuller, Easton, Mo., Mrs. Bud (Marjorie) Brouilette, Westminster, Calif., Mrs. John (Birdie) Butcher, Shenandoah, Ia., Mr. Don Orville, Omaha, Nebr. If she had lived until August 15th, she and her husband would have celebrated their 64th anniversary. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, five brothers, three sisters and one son, Linton Harry who passed away Nov. 12, 1967. She is survived by her husband, Linton H. Roberts; two sons, Elmer and Don; three daughters, Vera, Marjorie, Birdie, one daughter-in- law, Helen; eight grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; one great, great, grandchild; several nieces and nephews. submitted by: Julia Johnson #47176433 [email protected]
