Description	:	Nancy Ann Davison was born February 17, 1842 on the old Hardin Davison homestead in Page Co, five miles east of Clarinda, Iowa and died at the place of her birth, May 1, 1928 at the age of 76 years, two months and fourteen days. Read More	Nancy Ann Davison was born February 17, 1842 on the old Hardin Davison homestead in Page Co, five miles east of Clarinda, Iowa and died at the place of her birth, May 1, 1928 at the age of 76 years, two months and fourteen days. She had been in poor health for several years, but seemed to be much better during the past winter. While her friends knew she was far from well, her death from heart failure came suddenly and unexpectedly. She lived with her parents at the old homestead until she was 17 at which age she was united in marriage with Edward A. Pace, August 19, 1869. After their marriage they lived some years in Clarinda, Iowa, then they moved to Pitkin, Colorado where they lived three years when they returned to New Market where they continued to live until the death of her husband, June 20, 1926. After his departure she lived at the old home until last November when she went to spend the winter at the home of her daughter, Mrs Ersa Foster, at the home of her birth. To this union six children were born: Mrs Fred C. Foster, who lives on the old "Davison Homestead"; Charles H. and Asa B. Pace of Los Angeles, California. The other children Mrs Alice Love, Mrs Myrtle Valentine and Harley T. Pace preceeded her into the great beyond. Beside these there are three grandchildren: Ellen and Katherine Pace of Los Angeles, Calif, and Frank E. Valentine of Spencer, Ia, who came into their home when he was two years of age and lived with them until manhood. Mrs Pace had five brothers and three sisters of whom, Mrs Dica Wamsley of Denver, Colo, Mrs Eva Smith of Omaha, Nebr, Jackson Davison of North Park, Colo, Isaac Davison of Clarinda and E.R. Davison of New Market, Ia are living to mourn her loss. The deceased are Josiah and Jeptha Davison and Isabel Pace. Mrs Pace was the second child of Hardin and Harriet Davison and laid down this life where she took it up. It was here she grew to womanhood. It was here she confessed her Savior and became a member of the Christian Church. It was here she was married, and now after a life of active service she returned to the place of her birth to give back to her maker the soul that was given into her keeping. Mrs Pace was a woman of more than ordinary ability and took an active part in church and social work in the community in which she lived until failing health forbade active service. She was a good neighbor, ever ready to respond to the call of those in distress. She was a kind mother and a devoted wife. Her life was one of sacrifice for those she loved and to Christian duty--charitable, kind and thoughtful. She will be missed. Her work here is finished and she has been called to give an account of her stewardship. May she hear from the great Master the Welcome words, "Well done, faithful servant thou hast been faithful over a few things I will make thee ruler over many." Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter where she died, Thursday, May 3rd, conducted by Rev Hall of the Christian Church at Clarinda assisted by Rev Grubbs of New Market.
