Bolen of Maryville, and the remains were interred in the Smith cemetery. Deceased was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Owens and was well known in this part of the country, having lived the greater part of her life 2 miles north of Skidmore. Four months ago she and Mr. Jule Link, who is also favorably known here, were happily united in marriage at Maryville. This is, indeed, a sad blow to the husband and family of the deceased. Mrs. Link was an earnest worker in the church of her choice, the M. E. South, from childhood and was held in the highest esteem by all who knew her. The funeral service was very largely attended. ---------- From the Skidmore Standard, Friday, June 15, 1900, page 8, column 1: Mrs. Nancy Annie Link, wife of Mr. Julius Link, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Owens, was born near Skidmore, Nodaway Co., Mo., March 17, 1880. She was united in marriage to Mr. Julius Link, February 4, 1900, and died at her home near Fillmore, Andrew Co., Mo., June 5, 1900. She professed religion at a revival meeting conducted by Rev. C. A. Campbell, at the Centenary church. She united with the M. E. church, South, in which she lived a consistent life until God took her home. Her life from her childhood to its close was a beautiful one. Her friends were legion. All who knew her loved her. Her remains were brought to the Centenary church and placed at the same altar, where in childhood, she knelt a brokenhearted penitent and gave her heart to God, and where for many years with the faithful she did what she could to build up the cause of her master. Appropriate services were held after which her body was followed by a large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives to the cemetery near Skidmore, and laid to rest to await the resurrection morn.
