Cedric Peterson in charge. The Pocahontas lodge gave its services at Highland cemetery where interment was made. Nancy Elizabeth Boothe, the daughter of Andrew and Mrs. Boothe, was born in Athens County, Ohio, on July 30, 1874, and died at her home in Colfax early Sunday morning, Aug. 18, 1928, at the age of 55 years. She was united in marriage to Horace Brown at Newton, Ia., on Nov. 10, 1895, and to this union three children were born, all of whom survive. They are Mrs. Grace Stone of Prairie City, Charles Andrew at home, and Mrs. Blanche Bittner of Collins, Ia. Mrs. Brown is also survived by her husband, aged mother, Mrs. Nancy Boothe and three brothers, David, Alfred and Albert Boothe of Colfax; also six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, one brother and one sister. She was united with the Baptist church when a child and was a member until her death which came suddenly, she having just returned from a pleasure trip to Chicago and feeling in excellent health.
