Read More	David Boothe Obituary David Cromwell Boothe, son of Andrew Franklin and Nancy Ann Boothe, was born in Athens County, Ohio, Aug. 2, 1877, and passed away at his home in Colfax, Oct. 3, 1961, at the age of 84 years 2 months and one day. Death was attributed to the infirmities of old age. He came to Colfax as an infant with his parents and made his home here ever since. He attended Colfax schools until his health caused him to quit. Dave as everyone knew him, a friendly man by nature, was born a cripple. At one time he operated a cigar and tobacco store on Front Street, and later he was a familiar figure with his pop corn and peanut machine on the street. Having never married, Dave got great enjoyment from his nieces and nephews and especially Mrs. Claude Stevens who was reared in the Boothe home; Also from families of her children. He was a loving, kind uncle who will be missed much by his family. He leaves to mourn his passing, one brother, Albert Boothe with whom he made his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m. at Walters funeral Home in Colfax. Services were conducted by Rev. Charles Reed of the Baptist church. Music was furnished by Rev. and Mrs. Reed with Mrs. Lee Schmitt as pianist. Flower committee was Mrs. Marvin Howell and Mrs. Gene Ray. Pallbearers were, Richard Lamm, William Cox, Fred Wade, Elmer Perry, Earl Stevens, Arnold Stier. He was laid to rest at the Colfax cemetery. Transcriber note: Paper unnamed but possibly was The Colfax Clipper.
