Description	:	Obituary - Dunkerson Nancy E. Roach was born in Iowa, August 12, 1854. She was married to William Alonzo Dunkerson, November 11, 1875. They spent most of their lives on the farm in Harrison county, Missouri in the Zion neighborhood, where they both died. Mr. Dunkerson died May 5, 1920, leaving Mrs. Dunkerson to pass the remaining 14 years of her life with the two children who remained at home. Roach was born in Iowa, August 12, 1854. She was married to William Alonzo Dunkerson, November 11, 1875. They spent most of their lives on the farm in Harrison county, Missouri in the Zion neighborhood, where they both died. Mr. Dunkerson died May 5, 1920, leaving Mrs. Dunkerson to pass the remaining 14 years of her life with the two children who remained at home. Mrs. Dunkerson had been rather frail for a few years, but her last sickness was of short duration. She took sick about 3"00 o'clock in the morning, May 3, and died about 5:30 in the afternoon. She had reached the age of 79 years, eight months, and 22 days. There are six children in the family: Mrs. G. M. Bensyl, living near the old home; Laura J. Dunkerson and Willard J. Dunkerson, at home, and Mrs. S. W. Moore, Mrs. W. F. Jones and Blanche M. Dunkerson of Kansas City, Mo. These with four grandchildren, four brothers, and two sisters are left of the immediate family to mourn her departure. Mrs. Dunkerson was a faithful member of the Zion Church of Christ, having turned to the Lord and been baptized March 7, 1897. The children are all faithful members of the church, and their deep sorrow from the departure of their mother is not as those who have no hope. Mrs. Dunkerson fulfilled her part well as a mother and home maker, taking delight in quietly fulfilling the duti4es of life, leaving a good example for her children and grandchildren. She will be much missed in the home, church and neighborhood. The funeral services were conducted at the Zion chapel at 3:30 p.m., May 4, by evangelists Wm. J. Campbell of Davis City, Ia., and Waldo Hoar of Leon, Ia. The body was laid to rest in the Allen cemetery beside that of her husband.
