Read More	Death of Mrs. Racey, Old Resident of County Mrs. Nancy Jane Racey passed away at her home, 2703 Santa Fe Avenue, Ft. Madison, Iowa, on Thursday, March 23, 1916. She was 80 years old on February 28, 1916. She was the wife of James F. Racey who died 12 years ago. They were residents of Scotland County, Missouri nearly 50 years prior to moving to Ft. Madison, Iowa. Mrs. Racey was sick but a few days. Bronchial pneumonia being the immediate cause of her death. She united with the church in her youth and was a member of the M. E. Church at the time of her death. A funeral service was held at the home in Ft. Madison, Friday evening at 7:30. Her remains were accompanied to Arbela, Missouri, on Saturday March 25 by Rev. Banker, her pastor; Mrs. Dr. Richmond and son, Frank; Mrs. Ed Aten and Mrs. Gene Racey then across to Mt. Moriah where Rev. Banker conducted a funeral service at 2 o'clock p.m. after which her body was laid beside her husband in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Four of her children are living, Joseph L. Racey, Arbela, Missouri; Mrs. Etta Richmond, Ft. Madison, Iowa; Mrs. Nina Aten, Memphis, Missouri; and Miss Lou Racey, Ft. Madison, Iowa.
