Nancy was born on October 22, 1940 in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of the late Blake and Ruth (Vandemark) Hurley. She was a 1958 graduate of Hicksville High School and graduated with a Bachelor degree from Defiance College and then graduated from the University of St. Francis with a degree in special education. Nancy is survived by a daughter, Sally (Renee Owdom) Smith of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, John (Tylene) Smith of Cecil, Ohio, Greg Smith of Kalamazoo, Michigan; six grandchildren, Brant Smith of Charlette, North Carolina, David (Ashley), Kevin, and Emily Smith of Hicksville, Ethan, and Anna Smith of Kalamazoo, Michigan; two sisters, Janet (Ted) Durre and Karen (Terry) Bowman. Services for Nancy will be Monday at 11:00 at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, with Pastor Jack Teeple officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.
