Description	:	Nancy Kay Sumpter, 59, of Searsboro, died Saturday, Sept. 14, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service was Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Watts Funeral Home, Montezuma, with the Rev. H. Burr Bryant officiating. Interment was at Ivy Hill Cemetery, Malcom. Casket bearers were Jeff McNulty, Brian McNulty, Mark Eilander, Brent Talbert, Bill Linn, and Troy Freeborn. Nancy was born Aug. 8, 1943, at Clutier, the daughter of Marlyn and Esther (Rook) Hall. Nancy worked as a nurse's aide at the Jasper County Care Facility at Newton before she became disabled due to a car accident. She has lived in Searsboro since 1988. She enjoyed animals and was especially fond of her two cats. She also liked gardening, crafts and cooking, and loved her flowers. Nancy is survived by her two children, Rick Sumpter of Searsboro, and Tracy Sumpter of Malcom; her mother, Esther Hall of Plano, Texas; three sisters, Deanna Selle of Frisco, Texas; Judy Peterson of Plano, Texas; and Barbara Scull of Marshalltown.
