Description	:	Nancy Ziegler, 81, of Monroe, Nebraska, died Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Cottonwood House in Columbus. The funeral service will be Saturday, December 7, 1:00 P.M. at the Monroe United Methodist Church with Pastor Tony Serbousek officiating. Interment will be in the Okay Cemetery, rural Monroe. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home and on Saturday from 12:00 – 1:00 P.M. at the church with a family prayer service at 12:45 P.M. Read More	Nancy Ziegler, 81, of Monroe, Nebraska, died Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Cottonwood House in Columbus. Nancy was born on December 5, 1937, in Archer, Nebraska to James and Mabel Moore. She graduated from Monroe High School, and on May 20, 1956, Nancy was united in marriage to Robert Ziegler at Monroe EUB Church. She was a homemaker, devoted to her marriage and children. Her grandchildren brought her great joy, and she enjoyed playing with them and attending their activities. Her grandson Rob recalls she would do anything silly to make them laugh. Her favorite activity was fishing with her husband Bob, and one of her favorite places to go was Lake Mary in Alexandria, Minnesota where she vacationed each summer for over 40 years. Nancy loved to travel and often vacationed with her children, to see God’s handiwork. She loved to cook favorite dishes for her family and make Christmas cookies with her grandchildren. She was very close to her siblings and visited with them often. Nancy was an avid fan of Husker football and volleyball. Nancy was an active member in the Monroe United Methodist Church, and one of her greatest gifts was the sharing of her strong Christian faith.
