Coin Reece, Wichita, officiating. A male quartette, Harold Rippel, Sheldon Mohr, Otis Austin, Charles Glaser, sand, "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross". They were accompanied by Mrs. Harold Rippel. Pallbearers were: Chet Smith, Floyd Brown, Guy Human, Harry Summers, Harold Crum, Ernest Lawhon. Burial was in the Derby Cemetery. Hooton Mortuary was in charge. N.B. Sickler was born in Washington, Illinois, July 8, 1887. He came to Derby with his parents September 16, 1889. He passed away in a Wichita hospital October 23 at the age of 61 years, three months and fifteen days. He was united in marriage to Lelia McGinnie of Mulvane, November 12, 1926. To this union were born Mrs. Shirley Britton, Patricia Sickler, and one son, George Robert Sickler. His wife preceded him in death March 15. Survivors, besides the two daughters and son, are: two sisters, Mrs Mary Dollison, Derby, Mrs. Mabel Summers, R.F.D. 6, Wichita, three aunts, Mrs. Alice Hoffman, Mrs. Lynn Scheidell, Mrs. Anna Sickler and several cousins. He had barbered in Derby until 1937. He then moved to Wichita, continuing his work until his last illness. ==================================================== SICKLER RITES WILL BE HELD MONDAY AT DERBY Funeral services for Napoleon B. Sickler, 61, of 1433 South Mosley, who died in a local hospital Saturday, will be held at 2pm on Monday at the Evangelical United Brethren church in Derby, Kan. Rev. Coin Reece will officiate. Sickler was a barber in Derby for many years. Survivors include a son, George R. Sickler, 1433 South Mosley; two daughters, Mrs Shirley Britten, Planeview; Miss Patricia Sickler, 1433 South Mosley; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Dollison, Derby, and Mrs. H. D. Summers, route No. 6, Wichita. Burial will bein the Derby cemetery. The Hooton mortuary of Mulvane is in charge of arrangements.
