Description	:	The Mathews Journel Thurs., Sept. 15, 1932 MR. NATHANIEL B. LEIGH Mr. Nathaniel Benjamin Leigh, aged 78 years, died Wednesday, September 7th, at his home, Soles, Va. He had been in bad health for a long time and was a great sufferer, but bore his suffering with patience. Mr. Leigh was a prominent and highly respected citizen of Mathews County. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lucy B. Leigh, four children, W. F., T. W., and J. E. Leigh, and Miss Margaret Elizabeth Leigh, all of Soles, Va.; one sister, Mrs. G. H. Roane, of Washington, D. C. Funeral services were held at Locust Grove Church, of which he was a member, Friday, September 9th, at 2 p.m., conducted by his pastor, Rev. C. L. Salmon. Interment was made in Locust Grove cemetery. The active pallbearers were Archie and Alvin and Foster Leigh, B. B. Hinman, E. C. Sutton, J. A. Grey. Honorary: C. C. Soles, John Clements, J. O. Walker, J. H. Tobin, Capt. R. D. Soles and Walter Chapman. The funeral was attended by a large number of friends and there were many beautiful floral tributes.
