Description	:	Nathaniel was born to John Thomas and Nancy Rebeca Forsythe Morrison in Marion Township, near Ash Grove, Davis County, Iowa. He married Halsie Smith on Christmas Eve 1906 in her parent's residence in Davis County. They left early in their married life, along with his brother William Morrison and family, for Huron, Beadle County, South Dakota. William began work as a baggageman for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad, while Nathaniel's occupation was manual laborer. Both the 1920 and 1930 censuses show him as a laborer with City of Bremerton Water Department. Nat Morrison, 71, Water Dept. Boss Claimed by Death A long-time employee of the city water department until his retirement last May, Nathaniel Morrison, 71, died last night at a local hospital. His home for many years had been at 1209 5th st. Mr. Morrison suffered a heart attack last weekend and was hospitalized then. He was born April 1, 1883, in Iowa, and worked there as a farmer before coming to Bremerton in 1919. He went to work with the city water department then and some 25 years ago became superintendent of the Gorst pump station, a position he held until his retirement. Surviving him are his wife, Halsie, at the family home; two daughters, Mrs. James Ryan and Mrs. Lester Lewis of Bremerton; four sons, Vernie, Melvin (Bud) and Ronald of Bremerton and Carl of Gorst, and 11 grandchildren.
