Description	:	Son of Ned Sr. & Madeline (Pennington) Powers. He graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1943. After graduation he enlisted in the Army Air Corp, trained to be a waist gunner on a B17, and was shipped to an Air Base in Foggia, Italy. He flew 31 missions over Germany and Northern Italy.
