Description	:	Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Mon., July 26, for Nell Evaline Labidee, 94, Madison, who died July 22, 2004, at Bethel Lutheran Home. The Rev. Tom Newman will officiate in Christ Episcopal Church at Chamberlain, and burial will be in Riverview Cemetery there. Casketbearers will be Joel Overskei, Tom Michelke, Gene Bloker, David, Daniel and Ron Walker. Sondra Zingler will be organist. The family will be present at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Ellsworth Funeral Home and one hour preceding the service at the church. Nell Bickett was born Feb. 5, 1910, on the family farm near Oldham to Martin C. and Evaline (Oglesbee) Bickett. She attended Klein School, Oldham High School and Dakota State University, and she earned her degree from South Dakota State University in 1933. She also attended classes through various other universities. She started a high school teaching career which included Hopper Consolidated High School, Plankinton and Letcher High School. She married Walter W. Labidee of Chamberlain on Aug. 6, 1943, at Sioux Falls. They lived in Chamberlain after his Navy service. She was government employed with Farm Home Administration and Extension Service. In 1952, she returned to teaching in the senior and junior high school departments at Chamberlain Public School. She retired from teaching in 1972. Her husband died June 11, 1983. She was a member of Chapter AA PEO, state and national teachers' organizations, Christ Episcopal Church and American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include six nieces, Marjorie Haskins and Jean Michelke of Madison, Delores (Lyman) Overskei of Nunda, Frances Walker of Watertown, Joyce Palmer of Arlington, Texas, and Susan (Thomas) Flynn of Austin, Texas; a nephew, Douglas Labidee of New York City; and a sister-in-law, Mary Labidee of Arlington, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters, Ethel Haskins, Mae Olson and Beulah Menzel; and three brothers, Charlie, Frank and Fred Bickett.
