Obituary for Nellie Bollinger Freeze from both the Frederick Post and the Frederick News, Monday, April 20, 1942: "Mrs. Howard W. Freeze. Mrs. Nellie A. Freeze, wife of Howard W. Freeze, died Sunday morning at 3 o'clock at her home in Thurmont, aged 56 years, 10 months and 14 days. She suffered a paralytic stroke about six years ago and had been confined to her home since. She was a daughter of the late Lewis and Mollie Rhoades Bollinger, of Thurmont, and was active in the affairs of the Thurmont Evangelical and Reformed Church until she was stricken. Besides her husband, she is survived by a sister, Miss Leone Bollinger, Hagerstown, and two brothers, Jacob, Johnstown, Pa., and John, Mt. Wilson, near Baltimore. Funeral from the late home Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with services conducted by Rev. E. D. Bright, assisted by Rev. Charles H. Corbett. Interment in Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont, M. L. Creager and Son, funeral directors." Funeral notice for Nellie Bollinger Freeze from the Frederick Post, Thursday, April 23, 1942: "MRS. N. B. FREEZE. The funeral of Mrs. Nellie Bollinger Freeze, who died early Sunday morning at her home in Thurmont, was held Tuesday afternoon with services at the late home at 2:30 in charge of her pastor, Rev. E. D. Bright, assisted by Rev. Charles H. Corbett. Pallbearers were C. B. Harbaugh, Wilbur Freeze, Roy Creeger, Harry O. Miller, Ross Firor and Ross Firor, Jr. Interment in Blue Ridge Cemetery, M. L. Creager and Son, funeral directors."
