Bollinger, daughter of Lewis A. and Martha Rhoades Bollinger. They had no children. Howard passed away April 26, 1954, in Thurmont, and was buried on the 29th in Blue Ridge Cemetery there. He was a self-employed plumber and tinner in Thurmont, Maryland. His nearest relative was William J. Freeze (father) of Thurmont, Maryland. Obituary for Howard William Freeze from the Frederick Post, Wednesday, April 28, 1954: "Howard W. Freeze, son of the late William H. (sic) and Joanne Diehl Freeze, died suddenly Monday at his home in Thurmont. Death was attributed to a heart condition. Aged 71 years, he was a life-long resident of Thurmont and was a staunch Republican. He had conducted a plumbing and heating business the past fifty years. He was a member of St.John's Lutheran Church and the I. O. O. F. of Thurmont. His wife, Mrs. Nellie A. Bollinger Freeze, died several years ago. Survivors include a twin brother John Freeze, and a number of nieces and nephews. The body rests at the funeral home in Thurmont where friends may view the remains this afternoon. Services will be held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at the funeral home. Rev. Charles H. Corbett will officiate. Burial in Blue Ridge Cemetery. M. L. Creager and Son, funeral directors." Freeze, who died at his home Monday in Thurmont, were held Thursday, 2 p.m. at the funeral home in Thurmont. Rev. Charles H. Corbett, officiated. Members of the I.O.O.F., presented the order's ritualistic services at the grave, with Harry Miller, chaplain and James Keeney, noble grand. Pallbearers, also members of the Odd Fellows Lodge at Thurmont, were: Cleason Stull, Lester Fisher, Clyde Young, Edgar Palmer, Nevin Jackson, Cover Yingling, John Robinson, Dory Beard. Interment was in Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont. M. L. Creager and Son, funeral directors."
