Description	:	Nellie Bertha Shoff, daughter of John and Martha Shoff, was born at Grafton, Neb., November 21, 1886. She passed away at her home November 18, 1958, at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 26 days. She grew to womanhood in Grafton, where she received her formal education and then became associated with her father in the post office at Grafton, spending some 13 years in that capacity. Read More	Nellie Bertha Shoff, daughter of John and Martha Shoff, was born at Grafton, Neb., November 21, 1886. She passed away at her home November 18, 1958, at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 26 days. She grew to womanhood in Grafton, where she received her formal education and then became associated with her father in the post office at Grafton, spending some 13 years in that capacity. June 16, 1914, she was united in marriage to Walter A. Thomas at Crete by Rev. John Calvert. They established their home in Grafton, where they lived until 1946, when they relocated in Sutton, where they had since resided. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Congregational Church of Grafton, and was a charter member of the Eastern Star lodge and remained active in this organization after its relocation in Sutton. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband; one sister, Hattie Shoff of Sutton; two sisters-in-law; two nieces; two nephews; their families, and a wide circle of friends. Her father, mother, five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. The Nebraska Signal December 4, 1958 page 4.
