[Waterloo Daily Courier, Wednesday, November 30, 1955, Waterloo, Iowa] ------------------------ ANNIVERSARY OBSERVANCE HELD BY OSAGE COUPLE OSAGE - Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jacobs celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, at their home in Osage Sunday, with members of their family and a few close friends present. Mrs. Jacobs in 87, he husband is 81. Mr. Jacobs was born the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jacobs of Three Rivers, Michigan, and Mrs. Jacobs was Nellie Robertson, born at Mitchell. The couple was married at the parental William Robertson home, then north of Osage, September 4, 1895. Mr. Jacobs took his bride to the family farm, northeast of Osage, where they lived for 46 years, until retiring to Osage. He had lived on the farm since it was purchased by his father in 1876. When in Osage, Mr. Jacobs served as adjuster for the Mitchell County Mutual Association, and was agent for the State Farm Mutual Insurance Company. They are the parents of two children, Dean, on the family farm and Mrs. R. H. [Vera]Hogan, Fall City, Nebraska. There are six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
