Description	:	Nellie Charlotte Snyder, 83, of Manhattan died at her home Tuesday following a short illness. She was born in Minneapolis to Henry and Anna Anderson, Norwegian immigrants. At 6 months old, she moved with her twin sister, Pearl, and her parents to a homestead near Plaza, N.D. She graduated from high school in Plaza in 1925. She then attended Bible College in Cleveland, Tenn., and graduated from there in 1930. In 1934 she married Wesley H. Snyder, and they moved to Big Timber, where her husband was in business. She was born in Minneapolis to Henry and Anna Anderson, Norwegian immigrants. At 6 months old, she moved with her twin sister, Pearl, and her parents to a homestead near Plaza, N.D. She graduated from high school in Plaza in 1925. She then attended Bible College in Cleveland, Tenn., and graduated from there in 1930. In 1934 she married Wesley H. Snyder, and they moved to Big Timber, where her husband was in business. In 1937, they accepted a Church of God pastorate in Great Falls. They also pastored churches in Belgrade, Bozeman, Lewistown, Manhattan and Brookings, S.D. The majority of their ministering was in the Gallatin Valley. She was an officer and member of the Bozeman Women’s Aglow, and was named Woman of the Year for the Church of God Women’s Ministries. Survivors include two daughters, Pauline McKinney and Jayne Moore, both of Dallas; three sons, David and Robert Snyder, both of Manhattan, and Wesley Snyder of Missoula; three sisters, Pearl Hetland of Silverton, Ore., Hazel Bowen of Portland, Ore., and Cora Jenson of Eugene, Ore.; a brother, Arthur Anderson of Oakland, Ore.; and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979 and a son, Wayne C. Snyder. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Big Timber at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Printed in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle ~ August 11, 1988
