Davidson is dead. All who knew her were her friends. Her sweet disposition and even temperament, and kind deeds, made friends. Nellie Hillhouse Davidson was born and lived and died in Glasco. Her life span of 61 years began on August 17, 1884, and ended Wednesday afternoon, November 14, 1945, after an illness of several years. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Hillhouse, were pioneers. Her father was born in Scotland, her mother in Iowa, and both came to Kansas in their youth. A sister, Jeanette, died in infancy. Mrs. Davidson was a graduate of the Glasco High School, in the class of 1901. Her father being postmaster, she worked in the Post Office until her marriage to Joe Davidson on October 4, 1904. The following year they built themselves a new home, and in 1929 built the home they now occupy. She was a charter member of the Priscilla Chapter of the Eastern Star, and when her health permitted was active in church and Red Cross and social affairs. She was a member of the B.N. club organized in 1906 by twelve Glasco girls, and hers is the second death in this group. Her father died in 1929, and since that time her mother has been a member of her home. The community truly mourns with the husband and with the mother. Funeral services were held at the home at 3:00 o'clock Friday afternoon, November 16, the Rev. R.R. Kaiser of Denver in charge. Interment was in the Glasco cemetery.
