JOHN WILLIAMS Mrs. Nellie Irene Williams, daughter of Nelson and Amanda Cunningham, was born at Lehigh, Iowa, on September 7, 1880, and departed this life at the hospital in Albia, Iowa on September 13, 1935, at the age of 55 years and 6 days. JOHN WILLIAMS Mrs. Nellie Irene Williams, daughter of Nelson and Amanda Cunningham, was born at Lehigh, Iowa, on September 7, 1880, and departed this life at the hospital in Albia, Iowa on September 13, 1935, at the age of 55 years and 6 days. On July 4, 1896, she was united in marriage to Emil Leaf at Colfax, Iowa. To this union were born seven children. Four of these children and her husband preceded her in death. On March 28, 1910, she was united in marriage to John Williams at Des Moines, Iowa. To this union three children were born, one of whom preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn their loss her husband, John Williams, and five children, Roy, Elmer and Clarence Leaf and Mrs. Anna Terrell, all of near Williamson, Iowa; and Mrs. Amanda Carpenter, of Des Moines, Iowa; also three brothers, William, Homer and Bert Cunningham, all of Des Moines, and one sister, Mrs. Lula Westman, of near Williamson, eight grandchildren, sons and daughters-in-law and a host of friends. In 1917, she came with her family to Lucas county where she spent the remainder of her life. While she had never united with any church, she placed her faith in God and made her peace with Him before her death. A loving mother and kind neighbor has been called to her reward. Funeral services were held at Zion church on Sunday afternoon at four o'clock and burial was in Zion cemetery. Obituary courtesy of Charles M. Wright
