It was a shock to all her friends and relatives, although she had been poorly and doctoring for diabetes. But no one thought she was a bit worse than usual until the day before she died when she was taken very bad and although the Dr. did all he could, she soon passed away. It was a shock to all her friends and relatives, although she had been poorly and doctoring for diabetes. But no one thought she was a bit worse than usual until the day before she died when she was taken very bad and although the Dr. did all he could, she soon passed away. There is no need to say she was a kind and loving wife and mother, as all her friends and relatives know that her highest thought and ambition was to make a pleasant home and raise her boys to be good honest Christians. She was a very loving daughter too, as was showne by her care and kindness to her father who has made his home with her since her mother died, which will be 3 years in Mar. She also lost a brother, four years ago which makes four deaths in the family within four years. Miss Nellie Kane was born at Mason City, Iowa, on Dec. 25, 1885. Her folks moved to Dakota when she was five years old and she has been here ever since. She was married to Mr. Mike Kane Jan. 18, 1905, to which union two children were born, Vernard, aged 6, and Leonard, aged 4. She also leaves a husband, father and brother to mourn her loss. She was buried from the Catholic church of Letcher of which she has always been a devoted member. Rev. Father Bonter officiated at the funeral.
