Description	:	Nelly M Early, daughter of Moses and Mary Hochstetler, was born in St Joseph county, Indiana, near Wakarusa, Sept 22, 1876; died at Lima, Ohio, on June 20, 1924, aged 47 years, 8 months and 28 days. She was married to Clarence Early, Feb 27, 1901. To this union four children were born, namely, Vera, Ralph, Ada. Ralph preceded the mother, having died July 22, 1919. Besides the immediate family, she leaves an aged father and mother, who live in Wakarusa; also two brothers, Calvin and Walter, both of Wakarusa; two sisters, Lueretta Cocanower of Wakarusa and Nora Horien of Elkhart. She was married to Clarence Early, Feb 27, 1901. To this union four children were born, namely, Vera, Ralph, Ada. Ralph preceded the mother, having died July 22, 1919. She was converted and united with The Church of the Brethren at the age of 17, and maintained a consistent christian experience throughout her life. She was unassuming and yet she was as a city set upon a hill that could not be hidden. The students in her Sunday school classes testify to her sterling christian character. She called the Elders and received the Holy Anointing, January 20, and was fully resigned to the will of her Heavenly Father. A precious one from us is gone, A voice we love is still. A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled. God in His wisdom has recalled The boon His love had given, And tho’ the body slumbers here The soul is safe in Heaven. Rev Wm Overholser assisted by Rev David Byerly conducted the funeral services. Text from Luke 16:19-26. Those who attended the funeral at Lima, Ohio, were: Mrs Horein and daughter, Lola of Elkhart; Mr and Mrs George Cocanower and son, Glen; Mr and Mrs Walter Hochstettler, Mr and Mrs Elmer Bower and daughter, Ruth, of this place.
