When three years of age her parents moved to Waterloo, Iowa and seven years later to Hamilton county, Nebraska where surrounded with the home folks and the usual conditions of pioneer life in the west she grew to womanhood. On Nov. 9 1882 she united in marriage with Emil J. Eggert. The marriage was blessed by three children, Able E., Charles Francis and Effie M. all of whom survive and were present, with the father at the time of the sudden and unexpected death which occured atthe home last Thursday evening. Mr. Eggert had spent the afternoon at her son's home a short distance away and upon her return seemed quite tired and lay down upon a couch to rest but a chill came and later a sinking spell from which she did not rally. She complained of no severe pain and passed away as peacefully as one weary and tired and going to sleep at home with loved ones about her. The shock seemed more than the family could bear, it had fallen so suddenly upon them, but friends rallied about them and words of sympathy and comfort were spoken. The Eggert home is known widely as a place where friendly souls meet and where genuine hospitality reigns. The wife and mother in that home was its central figure and by her genial kindheartedness had won a host of friends. The making of the home and ideal one was always her first ambition and when the time came for building the comfortable farm home none took greater interest or manifested more pride in it than she. So completely wrapped up was she in her home life and the comfort and happiness of husband and children that during her lifetime she was seldom absent for a day....
