Description	:	Mrs. Taylor was born in Liberty Township north of Holton, the daughter of William and Nellie (Latimer) Walton. She attended the Woodworth Grade School and graduated from Holton High School. She spent most of her life in the Holton community. For 25 years she worked in the Kansas Employment Security Division in Topeka before she retired. She earlier had worked in the M.A. Bender and Floyd Hobbs legal offices in Holton and later in legal offices in Washington, D.C. during World War 11. She was married to Virgil P. Taylor Oct. 2, 1921. She attended the Woodworth Grade School and graduated from Holton High School. She spent most of her life in the Holton community. For 25 years she worked in the Kansas Employment Security Division in Topeka before she retired. She earlier had worked in the M.A. Bender and Floyd Hobbs legal offices in Holton and later in legal offices in Washington, D.C. during World War 11. She was married to Virgil P. Taylor Oct. 2, 1921. He died Feb. 5, 1975. An infant daughter, her parents and two brothers also preceded her in death. Survivors include a sister-in-law in Washington State; a niece, two nephews and many friends. Funeral services were held at the First United Methodist Church in Holton, with Rev. Duane Kessler officiating. Interment was in the Holton Cemetery with arrangements by Mercer Funeral Home. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Jackson County Historical Society, Mary L. Bair Unit No. 44 of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Golden Age Club and was a 64-year member of the Rebekah Lodge, all in Holton.
