Bauer, resident of Plattsmouth for 50 years, died at a Lincoln Hospital Thursday, January 25, 1951. She was 80 years old. She had been in the hospital for about a month. Born March 10, 1870 at Woodbine, Ia. she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Kemp. She was married in 1886 to Jack Majors, later marrying John M. Bauer at Ft. Robinson, Nebr. Bauer, resident of Plattsmouth for 50 years, died at a Lincoln Hospital Thursday, January 25, 1951. She was 80 years old. She had been in the hospital for about a month. Born March 10, 1870 at Woodbine, Ia. she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Kemp. She was married in 1886 to Jack Majors, later marrying John M. Bauer at Ft. Robinson, Nebr. Mr. Bauer died nine years ago. Mrs. Bauer was a member of the Mynard United Brethren church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Oscar Lewis of Lincoln, Mrs. H. A. Sheldon of Oshkosh, and Mrs. Frank Sheldon of Plattsmouth; one son, Rex Major of Omaha; five sisters and one brother. One daughter, Mrs. Nora Mason, of Kansas City, preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at Caldwell Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Mitchell officiating. Frank Cloidt, accompanied by Mrs. Marcia Davis, sang. Pallbearers were Joseph Pittman, Eldon Hull, Martin Sheldon, Robert Brittain, George Moore and Henry Royer. Burial was at Horning Cemetery south of Plattsmouth. Caldwell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
