Read More	Clay Center Dispatch Clay Center, Kansas Tuesday, May 24, 1983 Page 6 Columns 7, 8 Pearl Russell Nellie "Pearl" Russell, 88, died Monday (May 23, 1983) at the Clay Center Presbyterian Manor. She was born Nov. 5, 1894 at Blue Springs, Ne., the daughter of Joseph and Ellen Petty Johnson. She had been a self employed seamstress and had lived in the Longford Community for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Clay Center. The survivors are two sons, Clinton Russell, and wife Shirley of Lincoln, Ne., and John Russell, and wife Esther of WaKeeney; two brothers, Clyde (Claude) Johnson, of Topeka and Joe (Joseph Harv) Johnson of Nickerson; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren. Preceding her was a son, Clayton. Services will be held on Thursday at 1:30 P.M. in the Neill-Schwensen Chapel, with the Rev. Gene Tremble officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home any time after 3 p.m., Wednesday. The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 P.M., Wednesday. She was born Nov. 5, 1894, in Blue Springs, Neb., and had lived in the Idana and Longford communities where she was a self-employed seamstress. Mrs. Russell was a member of the Clay Center United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, Clinton, Lincoln, Neb., and John, Wakeeney; two brothers, Claude, Topeka, and Joe, Nickerson; four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Clayton. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Neill-Schwensen Funeral Home, Clay Center, the Rev. Gene Tromble officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 Wednesday.
